Exams
University exams are in full flow now and much is to be revised. Going through a lot, slowly but it all seems to be picking up just in time for the exams. Not long to go now until I’ve finished for summer!

Another week starts again
Hmm back to the start of another week! Each year seems to go faster than the last. And, I really need to start putting more pictures on here!
Meeting with the Union at Sheffield University
Just come back from a meeting with the staff at the Sheffield University Union.
It was all about an iPhone app I’m making for them. To be fair, it’s my first proper meeting with anyone wanting my services so it was pretty cool. However, I was on the quiet side! At least everyone was together so I could get a good listen to what people were interested, what they wanted from the app etc.
TV Licensing
After many letters from the TV licensing company that we didn’t have a licence (yet we bought one many months ago), we got a letter saying we would have to go for a court hearing! Obviously pissed off.. I posted my thoughts on Twitter.. and.. they found me, replied and now emailed them :) It makes me feel so much better that companies like that actually find people on Twitter :)
What a long day…
What a long day today was! Just never seemed to end. On the other hand, learnt some stuff on PHP coding in lectures so I guess that was alright! And tomorrow I don’t have to head into uni until 14:10!! So that’s an added bonus and definitely an incentive for going out tonight.
Second Semester
The second semester of uni has started today fully. Got my first three lectures of this semester in under an hours time and everything will be back in full force.
iPad development carried on last night and much more to do, however it’s getting very interesting with the massive amount of screen space to design for and by using all different types of UI, animations etc to make a real nice iPad App....
Sunday afternoon..
Okay, after exams and many nights out, I decided to tidy up my room and going to do all my washing and clothes ready for the new semester to start. The next topics look pretty great and can’t wait to get down into work :)
Exams are over!
Finally! Exams are over and it’s time to chill, relax, and get amazingly drunk! Might watch a film for a bit today and then when people start getting up I’ll probably head down to the shop to get the alcohol and some shopping etc. Tonight should be great!
But, then again I need to think about doing some iPhone/iPad work this weekend! I’ve also got a meeting with some people from Sheffield Union...

Okay I’ve now realised that I may as well just carry this on as normal. So just a little post to say that I’ve got my final exam tomorrow morning! (Shit), and that after that I’ll be done.. for a while. But it seems that as lectures start again on Monday, this weekend is probably the only good time to get incredibly messy and have a mini ‘refreshers’ weekend. Insert 'Notes' into Twitterville's tweets!
Ever wanted to post a nice set of notes to someone over Twitter, whilst on your iPhone? Seems pretty longwinded…
Well with an upcoming build of Twitterville you’ll be able to do all of that, without leaving the app!

Custom URL & New website!
Ever used a custom URL on an iPhone? For examle, you type ‘twttr://somethingelse.com’ into Mobile Safari and then another app opens. This works the same way with ‘mailto://’.
Currenty I’m working on adding this feature into Twitterville! This will probably be released in a 1.3 version update as it’s going quite well.

Bug Fixes
Many of you have contacted me asking when the next update will be and how it will improve Twitterville. Well one thing I CAN say, is that a lot of bugs have been fixed (and more will be fixed for update 1.3).
You can find a detailed list of updates on my main blog or on here.
Any bugs you do find, PLEASE report them! I’ll then find them and fix them in an upcoming update.

Engine
I forgot to say last night when adding a few screenshots, that I updated the Twitter engine (what makes all the API calls, gets the data, puts it into an array etc) and that downloading process has speeded up a little! Aswell as this, Twitterville now has access to some of the newest APIs from Twitter.
Update 1.2 and 1.3

Just to let you know I sent Twitterville 1.2 off to Apple yesterday and so *should* be live on the app store for around this weekend.
In other news, I’ve had some great response from people who have bought and tried Twitterville and some of the kind of things they’d like to see in version 1.3.

TDY.ME
Today I’ll be mainly working on the TDY.ME feature of Twitterville.
I was using custom code to parse all the XML data and turning them into strings. However, I found that this probably wasn’t the best idea so I’ve gone onto the normal XML parser which has killed a few bugs.
I received a message the other day about some new tdy.me API available so I’ll be looking into that...

Spread Tweet - More development
After sending out the latest beta build last night of Twitterville I had already gained some great responses about the new ‘spread tweet’ functionality in Twitterville (1.2).
The ‘spread tweet’ function enables the user to send a tweet longer than 140 characters and send them as two seperate tweets.

This weekend I’ll be dedicating some time to fix up and update Twitterville.
This weekends main aim will be to get all the little bits and bobs sorted to make it as bug free and as working as possible. I’ve spent a lot of this week adding new features and can only go wrong if that’s all I’m doing! So I’ll be crawling through some testing docs and fixing it all up.

Someone else gave me another idea for Twitterville! Seems pretty good..
I was thinking about the fact that you could save any links you want that you see in tweets. Or add them all to a ‘history’ so you can repost them “later” or whenever you want without having to ‘ReTweet’ them.
Another idea, is to have a ‘URL’ for Twitterville on the iPhone and...
